Saturday Sports Talk

The Penguins play early this afternoon against the New York Rangers here at home and the Pitt mens team plays tonight at 7:00 PM. Hopefully they both win, the penguins need the two points and it would be great to see Pitt move on in the tournament.

The Steelers are busy designing their Super Bowl ring. The news just reported that Hines Ward is working on the design with a local jeweler. It should be interesting to see what they come up with. The city has had its share of championships, but winning the Super Bowl five times is something only Pittsburgh can claim.

Good morning, Greg,
Hope your Penguins will be more successful in the playoffs than were the Pitt Panthers. We lost a squeaker yesterday to Villanova, that at the end could have gone either way. There's no doubt in my mind that Villanova was probably playing better basketball than we were, but our guys did play hard, as they usually do. I also think that perhaps we were outcoached a little by Villanova, especially on that last play. Somebody needed to get in front of Reynolds to slow him down, but nobody did. If your Penguins can't pull off the Stanley Cup, then we'll have to sit back and savor the Super Bowl victory for the rest of the year...at least until September.

You're right Dave Pitt did not play well enough to win and Villanova earned the victory.

The penguins did look good and I'm glad they're coming into their own going in the playoffs! Have a great weekend, take care.

How about 10 Stanley Cup Championships, that is also an accomplishment, isn't it?
Not sure how I feel that your Pens beat my hometown Rangers last night. Haa haa

Hey Greg...What's the name of that place where you can get the home made pretzels hot out of the oven? And can you ship some to me in Dallas? That's the only decent thing you got there in Pittsburgh!!!

Go Wings!
Love ya!
