This morning I tried to open my google bookmarks and it was blank...... Imagine the panic of all your bookmarks suddenly disappearing! I quickly figured it out by hitting the refresh button and like magic my bookmarks were all there. The phrase thank you Google gods popped into my head..... It's funny how much I rely on the Internet and especially google services.
I use google to keep my calendar, for document storage, chat and many other features. If google would suddenly crash I would certainly be in trouble to say the least. Are there certain programs or sites that you cannot live without? For me it's definitely google, Yeah definitely google....

I also use Google a lot. My email,bookmarks, documents, photos. I do have most of this backed up so I don't lose anything. I even back up my bookmarks!
I am Google reliant too. Glad you figured it out and avoided disaster! LOL :)
I definitely rely on Google (gmail, searching). But overall I just rely on the internet! My job is all virtual. I use chat programs constantly (AIM, yahoo, Google's chat, MSN, etc.). Seems like everyone I work with uses a different chat program...so I rely heavily on Trillian and Pidgen to manage my various personal/work chat programs...
You're right, Greg, we do get very reliant on our technology, and "google gods" does have a nice alliterative ring to it. Nicely done!
Remember, though, that these "gods" are really just people with flaws if you look behind the curtain. Don't give them too much credit!
