Tuesday's Thoughts

It feels like it should be at least Thursday not Tuesday.... I have been working on an appeal with my insurance company, Security Blue; trying to get a pressure relief mattress paid for. It's always something.

It's beautiful right now in Pittsburgh but the rain is on its way so I'm going outside on my deck and let my little dog enjoy the sunshine while she can.

What are your thoughts on the swine flu pandemic? Are you taking any special precautions? My plan is the same as always, wash my hands often and limit my exposure with sick people... The problem is how do I know who is sick? I guess if things get bad I will just hibernate in the house... Which would severely hamper my social life, yeah right! As long as I can watch playoff hockey (the penguins) on television I am pretty much Happy!

Good morning, Greg,
That's a great picture of Nala! She looks to be pretty content with her resting spot, alongside your flowers. I hear that you had some pretty warm temperatures over the weekend in the Pittsburgh area. After the warmth, the rain you will be getting should make your garden really take off!

I am still able to use my wheelchair. I just had to send the display box in. The only thing is that someone else has to drive me around using the joystick on the back of my chair.

Nala is very sweet. Thanks for posting the picture for us to see.

For the flu, not sure if we can do anything. :-( I always thought bird flu would wipe out the world. Never knew there was a swine flu.

hopefully this is overblown the way everything the media covers is overblown. blah blah blah.

if not, then what can any of us do? no known cure, wash hands. tell you what...my husband was so sick with the flu last month that had I known about swine flu at the time I'd have believed he had it. I guess you can get tested easily. Your dr can take samples & send to your state's health & human service dept or the cdc, depending on their set up.
