Am I the only one who remembers how strange Michael Jackson really was? Every news program I turn on is talking about the king of pop... I agree that he was very musically talented, but there was no one stranger in music than him.... Let's not even talk about the two pedophile cases... jeez
So since I cannot watch CNN or headline news, I'm sitting at my computer listening to music and drinking tea. You can bet my play list does not include Michael Jackson. It's more like The Beach Boys, ZZ Top and Aerosmith. But hey that's just me. Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend!

I think for me its more about, I grew up listening to Michael. Since, I had never met him but only heard or watched him. He became woven in dreams of sucess and history of my life. Each of his songs can take me back to my own milestones.
I think in this instance, a Bible verse comes to mind.
"Those without sin may cast the first stone."
To me this means I am not his judge, while I may have an inclination as to his guilt. It doesn't have to take away from the fabric of my life.
May he rest in peace,
His children find hope,
His fans carry on his legacy,
His family reconcile their enabling,
JMHO & Respectfully,
Mal
all good points, thanks!
naaah, you're not the only one. he drove me crazy with his craziness. but you can't dismiss his talent. he was a talent. no doubt his father and mother helped create the strange being that evolved from a brilliant child star to a reclusive mis-shapen and malformed man. i feel sorry for him and sorry for those he probably hurt.
Up til yesterday I had the exact same thought as you, but as I heard the news of his death, I realized the same thing as Nekkid and California did. He was somewhat of a tortured soul, not allowed to have a childhood until he could create it for himself.
I say with his death comes a sort of finality of the whole creepy-Michael situation, and now all we are left with is his music. I'm okay with that.
