I am so happy to announce that my new joystick will be delivered and installed sometime today from Chesapeake rehab. Hopefully today is the last day I have to use my old chair. And I will not have to fear becoming a giant paperweight somewhere in my house or on the streets due to a software problem, while I'm in my C 500.
Having the right equipment is so essential to my independence, if something is even an inch out of place it may make it unusable. I really appreciate all the kind words and thoughts from all of you over the last month, listening to me complain and offering me encouragement.
It's not always about the wheelchair, but let's face it, without it my quality of life certainly takes a nose dive south. I hope each of you have a great day, don't forget it's a hockey night in Pittsburgh! Wear you're black and gold and cheer the penguins to another victory in the Stanley cup!

Woohoo! Glad to hear that the joystick issues will be solved today! That's wonderful news.
I was gonna wear my Crosby jersey today, but it's gonna be really warm out here today and I didn't want to die of heat exhaustion before the game tonight so I elected to wear my Eastern Conference Champs shirt from last year instead! lol My coworkers think I'm crazy....oh wait, I am so it's ok. lol
Yippee! I totally appreciate your desire for independence and quality of life -- so I am hopeful that this makes the troubles a thing of the past. That way you can start worrying about important stuff - like the game tonight! ;-) Go Penguins!
