I spent yesterday late afternoon and early evening on the deck enjoying a cold Guinness while watching the duraflame log slowly burn down.
This was the first time I used a duraflame log and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The log burned for 3 1/2 hours. It started easily, produced very little smoke and burned completely. For less than $3.00, I thought it was a pretty good bargain.
As I sat on the deck enjoying the flames, the air conditioning kicked on inside the house and I thought only in America can a guy sit on his deck enjoying a cold beer, watching his campfire while the house maintains a constant 74°.. Yes I know I have some serious lapses in mental capacity.

you are quite the wit of late. I agree, A/C on in the house while you burn a log outside to stay warm. you look rather pleased with yourself :)
