It was painful to watch football this weekend, most of my favorite teams lost. It didn't start out that way, in fact, the teams were all winning until the fourth quarter.
The University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University and the Pittsburgh Steelers all disappointed me. How can the Steelers lose to Cincinnati? Iowa beats Penn State again this year? North Carolina State over Pitt, come on give me a break. Not to mention that the Pittsburgh Penguins lost their final preseason game to the Detroit Red Wings.... thank God regular hockey starts on Friday. I could not buy a victory this weekend.
Hopefully the teams I follow start picking up their game before next weekend. Championship teams always find a way to win, it still remains to be seen if these teams are championship caliber.

Did you have to remind me about Iowa beating PSU once again? Really? Did you? lol
That was so heartbreaking for me. I was itching all day long for that game on Saturday night...couldn't wait for it to begin and PSU to show Iowa who was boss...and then....*sigh* WTF!!?? I can't comment on Pitt since I don't follow them. I'm a PSU girl through and through. lol
And then the Steelers losing to the Bungles!? I really really hope this isn't a preview of the rest of the season for them. We really could use Polamalu back on D though.....You never realize how important one guy is on a team until they get hurt.
As for the Penguins, I can forgive the loss to the Wings during the preseason....and I'm so excited the season starts Friday...FINALLY!! I will be all decked out in Penguins gear and glued to my tv set Friday. Nothing and no one will tear me away from the game.
At least the Vikings are doing good here in Minnesota. Especially with Brett Farve.
