I just started learning Spanish online for free at a website called livemocha.com it's a really interesting site and I enjoy the lesson plans.
I doubt that I will become fluent in Spanish from taking the lessons, but it's fun and most of all it's free.... I'll let you know how my progress goes, pick any language you want and give it a try too.

thanks for the advice! i've been wanting to try italian forever, but rosetta stone is just to expensive.
nice....I'll check that out later. Not sure what language I'll try since I'm lucky I can speak English! Do they happen to have Pittsburghese on there??? lol Not that I don't already know that one!
