It's hard to believe it's New Year's Eve 2009... And I have to say I thought things would be a little different in 2010. Where are the flying cars they promised us? And I definitely want my Rosie The Robot !
But if you think about it, so many things are just as they promised. Most of us carry around cell phones with more computing power than NASA had when they landed a man on the moon. Little handheld communication devices like in Star Trek.....
I'm writing my blog using my voice and my computer types........ my house is run by a computer, I speak to it and it reacts...
It's amazing the technology we do have and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next 20 years. I hope you and your families have a great New Year's Eve and a spectacular 2010 !

Hi Greg and a Happy New Year to you!
I remember, some years ago, watching a programme on t.v. about future technology. They said we would be able to speak to people and see each other on a screen. To me it seemed both frightening and incredible.... yet now we do have webcams. :) I've learned that technology isn't something to be frightened of and, like you, I'm looking forward to seeing what future inventions will materialise.
Although new technology is great, I fear that as more and more of it is created, the lazier we will all become.
Like how your house is computerized. I get that it's that way because you need it to be that way, but I think of how it would be in my house and that would so totally make me lazy!!!! But, I could so go for a Rosie the Robot too!!!!
Hope your New Years Eve was a good one!
