Dentist

I went to the dentist today for my six-month cleaning, the usual dental technician was no longer there. The new dental technician was very nice, she did not appear to be freaked out by the wheelchair in the least....

My only complaint is I wish the rooms were a little larger to accommodate my wheelchair. It was very tight, thank God she was tiny. The good news is no cavities, and I don't have to go back until July.

That's one job I could never do, sticking my fingers into a stranger's mouth would creep me out. That's probably the Mr. Monk in me........ wipe Natalie.

It's such a relief when the dentist tells you that your teeth are fine and there's no work needing done. :D

That's something I sometimes wonder about...... what makes someone want to poke about in people's mouths for a living. I know it's a well-paid job but..... YUK!

I just had FOUR teeth removed two weeks ago. I absolutely HATE dentists. I tell every one of them that they are nothing but licensed torturists. You are legally allowed and licensed to drill into someone's head, and that's torture. My oral surgeon got a kick out of that one.

But the good thing is that the cavities I had are gone now with the four teeth I had removed. That's not why they were removed, but that's ok. Now I don't cringe when I eat the few sweets I do.

I could never go near someone else's mouth either. Helping my children is one thing, strangers...uh no. And besides, imagine the breath that they smell!! EWWW!
