Wicked Wednesday

I miss living in New England for a lot of reasons and one of them is hearing the term wicked.... As in, it's wicked cold out, better wear a jacket.... These clams are wicked good....

Pittsburgh has its own terms, It's slippy outside.... throw some salt on the walk an' at. It's just not the same as Wicked.

I'm not really sure where this post is going, maybe because I have not slept in three days. Insomnia sucks dear reader....

Last night my friend Mark came over and we watched the Penguins snap their five-game losing streak . The Pens beat Atlanta 5 to 2.... thank God, losing sucks as much as insomnia.

I like the random rambling of your psychotic sleep deprived post. Wicked good!

That's awful Greg, 3 days without sleep, I'm not sure that I could function. Try cammomile tea.

So the whole Wicked thing is a New England thing huh? I wondered where all the kids around NY got that....

I'll take the Pittsburghese over the Wicked thing any day!

The other day I told my husband and kids that it was slippy out and they looked at me like I had two heads. That and I told them to red up their room.....they didn't have a clue! *sigh* Oh...and the whole nebby thing...hubby is still stumped by that one.

We say that in England too!
"This coffee is wicked!" ....meaning really, really good, but I don't like coffee so I would say, "This Earl Grey is wicked!" lol, just ignore me..... I often ramble and suffer from sleep deprivation too. I find it hard to wind down in the evenings. I hope you get some good sleep soon.

I don't know where "wicked" comes from either but I'd never heard it used til I moved to NE 13 yrs ago. And it is still ubiquitous in these here parts.
