I was recently looking around on the Internet for archery clubs in the area and found Falcon Archers . The club was established in 1955 and sits on 23 acres of land. It's only 15 minutes from my place.
Last night was their membership meeting, so I went and became a member. It looks like a fantastic place to shoot my crossbow, the grounds are really wheelchair accessible. The clubhouse has thresholds, but my portable ramp made access easy. The indoor shooting range has a few steps going down but again my larger portable ramp should take care of those....
I met some really nice guys who made me feel welcome. I'm looking forward to going out and shooting sometime soon.

I am not hunter but love to shoot my compound bow at the end of the day. I find target shooting very relaxing, a great way to wind down. My son likes to shoot too and I have found those who are into archery are very open minded in terms of disability. If you are ever in the NY area Flying Arrow Sports is a great place to shoot. The guy that owns the shops is great and he really helped me learn and adapt my equipment to fit my needs.
shooting is a great way to relax
