Veterinarian Visit
This morning I have a veterinarian appointment for Nala, suddenly she is not able to hear.... This came on rather quickly and I'm very concerned and want to see what the problem is. Hopefully it is some type of ear infection that can be treated with antibiotics.
Over the past 11 years she has been the best service dog I could ask for. She is getting up there in age I'm just hoping this is not permanent. Fortunately she responds to some hand signals as well as verbal commands. What makes it difficult is when she is sleeping beside my wheelchair and I cannot wake her up, as a result sometimes I'm trapped in place, lol
Have any of you ever experienced sudden hearing loss in your dog? Any thoughts?

Hi Greg. One of our dogs is losing his hearing but it's been a gradual thing and he's 14 years old so it's understandable.
I hope Nala's appointment goes well and will wait anxiously to hear her news.
Thanks so much for your comment, we are trying antibiotics to see if it makes a difference. I will keep you updated!
Here's hoping it's something simple and the antibiotics clear it up. I hate it when the pets are not well. :(
