Sunday the Pittsburgh Penguins set an NHL record by defeating the Florida Panthers in a shootout 2 to 1. It was the Penguins fourth consecutive shootout victory.
Before the game began awards were handed out and Marc Andre Fleury received the Most Valuable Player Award for the team. Brooks Orpik played in his first game since breaking his finger and being sidelined for 13 games. Brooks also received the defensive player of the year award. It was great to see him on the ice.
Tuesday the Penguins take on the Philadelphia Flyers here at home. I actually donated my tickets to charity so I will be watching this classic matchup from home. It's the last regular-season game so I will not be attending until the playoffs start. The team is certainly finding a way to win. Go Pens!
